QUICK TIP – SEL Informational Texts

Social Emotional Learning is a trending focus in schools across the country and teachers are always looking for effective resources that incorporate the topic into their already existing standards and lessons. CommonLit has a series of informational texts geared for students in grades 5-12 that nicely fit into this. Here’s a sampling of what they offer:

CommonLit has also partnered up with The Jed Foundation (JED) to create reflective surveys after you have completed some of these lessons. Some examples of the surveys available are:
